Atlantic Golf Management was founded over 40 years ago by owner Harry A. Leonard. Starting off as a Landscape Maintenance Company, Atlantic was asked to Construct and Grow In a 9 Hole Golf Course for Lions Head Golf and Country Club in 1981. Golf Course Architect Hal Purdy handed Harry the design and with a york rake, grading rake and Harry's two hands, Lions Head Golf Course came to life. When all phases of the construction and grow in was completed, Mr. Pudry toured the course and kept raving about how we would have the best Tees in the State of New Jersey. 32 years later, Atlantic is still providing Lions Head with the highest quality of Golf Course conditions the industry has to offer.
In the mid to late 90's, there was a boom period for Golf Course Communities in the Tri-State area. Companies including Lennar, Toll Brothers, Centex and K. Hovnanian took notice of Atlantic's performance regarding Golf Course grow in's, Golf Course Maintenance and Landscape Maintenance and were impressed. This lead to Atlantic being hired to grow in Golf Courses across the region including the only two Golf Courses designed in New Jersey by world renowned Architect Arthur Hills. Not only was Atlantic awarded the Golf Course Maintenance contracts after grow ins were completed, but also contracts to Maintain and Landscape areas such as Clubhouses, Entrance Ways and Ponds.
